Chen Tai-Hua a.k.a. ATI, was born in 1987 and graduated from the Western Painting Division of the Fine Arts Department at Chinese Culture University. He is a full-time artist whose works various media, including painting, sculpture, video installations, fashion, ceramics, and NFTs. He continuously explores broader and deeper possibilities in art.
In his works, ATI contemplates how to deconstruct and reconstruct elements of foreign and Taiwanese culture, creating his own unique aesthetic value. He integrates and reimagines various quirky tastes ingrained in his life memories, such as video games, Pili puppetry, folk deities, American Y2K street graffiti, and Japanese anime elements. This fusion gradually gives rise to the worldview of ATI Universe. ATI’s works are filled with imaginative fantasy and a unique style, reflecting the influences on Taiwanese individuals born in the 1980s from television, video games, movies, music, subculture, and avant-garde art experiments. His brain structure is shaped by the dual impact of foreign pop culture and Taiwan’s indigenous culture. Over time, this chemical reaction has resulted in his works flourishing like splendid, mutated flowers.
