**“cross cross x x”** is an annual group exhibition that explores the intersection of sub-culture and artistic creation. Now in its third year, this edition takes “the threshold between spirit and form” as its central theme. The exhibition focuses on the crossings between reality and fantasy, the material and the spiritual, presenting how contemporary artists use diverse media to capture “things that are invisible yet undeniably present,” as well as the flow of memory, emotion, light, soul, and time. Among the works presented, some examine “the shape of life” through the physicality and spirituality of characters; others use painting to condense time and movement into visible moments. There are also artists who employ washi paper, mineral pigments, and layers of light and shadow to depict blurred landscapes that exist between reality and memory. These works are not simply representations of the external world, but attempts to reconstruct perception itself. What the artists are concerned with is the subtle, almost imperceptible boundary between human beings and the world. When the soul seems to pass through the body, when a character appears to breathe, when memory turns into fragments of light, what viewers contemplate before the works is not only the image itself, but also the echoes of their own sensations, memories, and existence reflected through the artwork. “cross cross x x VOL.3”continues the cross-disciplinary explorations of the previous two editions, further opening a dialogue between imagination and reality. Beyond showcasing the artists’ free experimentation with diverse media, the exhibition invites audiences to re-experience those moments hidden between everyday life and dreams through the works on view.
