Xiaohua(b.1986,China)

Since 2013, I have been “sewing” my works, which are based on my experiences in Berlin, This was how it started. They are also connected to my perspective and understanding of the status quo and change, as well as the rapidly changing world after continuously my traveling between east and west. They are also related to things I’ve been through in my past life. Only “sewing” and “mending” after destruction can perfection be attained. I tend to let viewers to think about and understand my works from their own perspectives and experience rather than presenting them with textual descriptions. As products of my imagination, my works represent my perspective and expectations of reality. They can be presented in 2- or 3-dimensional space, and even virtually.  They form my perspective towards things, as well as ultimately explore their connection to beauty and potential beauty.

Weakness is strength, and strength is nothing.
